Privacy Policy
ClearStart helps students turn confusing school messages into clearer tasks. To do that, the app may process the message text or screenshot you choose to paste, upload, or decode.
Safe paste rules
- Do not paste Social Security numbers, student ID numbers, tax forms, bank details, passwords, or full financial aid documents.
- Remove private account numbers, birth dates, addresses, and personal identification details when possible.
- Paste only the school message text needed to understand the task.
Information you provide
You may provide school email text, portal notice text, screenshots, task notes, school name, student path, living plan, and start term. ClearStart uses that information to help decode the message and organize possible next steps.
How information is used
ClearStart uses the information you provide to generate summaries, tasks, risk labels, office suggestions, questions to ask, saved tasks, and exports. If AI decoding is enabled, your message may be sent to the AI provider used by ClearStart to generate the response.
What ClearStart does not request
ClearStart does not need your Social Security number, full tax documents, student account password, bank details, or full official financial aid documents. Please do not paste those into the app.
